Bio
Elizabeth Bizianes is a painter, raised in Louisville, Kentucky, where she lives and works. For more than 20 years her studio, Bizianes Fine Arts, has been home to her art practice and private atelier teaching. Bizianes’ work explores themes of time, family, and memory, through the eyes of an adoptee. Seeking familial resemblances ignited her desire to paint faces, recalling herself as a young girl searching for her own eyes amongst a crowd. Drawing upon the influences of Contemporary artists David Salle and Larry Rivers, her work blends abstraction and figuration expressing the both hazy, and sharp, dreamlike quality of memory.
Bizianes has exhibited her paintings in local exhibitions and galleries, and is a 2025 AXA Prize finalist. She recently completed her Master of Fine Arts degree in painting at the Savannah College of Art and Design.

Work Experience
2002 - Present, Artist/Owner, Bizianes Fine Arts, Louisville, Kentucky
Created a brisk and varied studio practice including commissioned artwork for several corporations and private collections. Over 20 years experience teaching and mentoring students of all ages through the atelier approach in all 2-D media including painting, drawing and printmaking. Guided students in accomplishing several silver and bronze keys as part of the Regional Scholastic Art and Writing Awards, preparing porfolios for college entrants and scholarships awards, as well as mentoring advanced students to prepare for and conduct solo and group exhibitions.
1992 - 1995, Graphic Designer, Vermont American, Louisville, Kentucky
Designed packaging, store displays and branding signage for client Sears/Craftsman power tool accessories using Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator software. Designed in-house signage, fliers, and mailers.
